What Sandglass stores
Sandglass keeps your record of the day and your settings on your device. There are no accounts and nothing to sign in to.
Payments
Sandglass is free. There is nothing to buy in the app and nothing to pay for.
Moving to a new phone
On Android, Sandglass's database and settings ride Android's own backup and transfer, so your record arrives without an account. On iPhone the same files travel in whatever backup you have turned on. That backup is between you and Google or Apple, under their policies.
Notifications
Sandglass never rings and never notifies. When you reach your hours it repaints its own widget, which can happen a few minutes later. It makes no sound and there is nothing to dismiss.
This website
No cookies, no accounts and nothing to sign up for. The web server keeps a standard access log for up to 30 days, and we do not count page views.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles requests on our behalf; Cloudflare's privacy policy describes how it handles data as our provider. Some pages link out to other services such as Google Play, which are covered by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Children
Sandglass is a general-audience app.
